These are all designed and manufactured in house to the highest specifications, to match the tough African conditions in which they operate.
Advantages of Barges
Floating pump stations provide three significant advantages over terrestrial based pump stations:
- Do away with the civils required for a terrestrial station
- The pump station adjusts to the level of the river, keeping the equipment on the pump station safe from flood damage
- Favourable suction conditions for the pump. This allows for the selection of readily available, cost effective pumps for which spares are also readily available.
