Irritech Agencies International (Pty) Ltd is a specialist

irrigation company operating throughout Africa.

It was founded by Franek Raciborski in 1992 and the head office is

based in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The company has

grown to include two additional branches in KwaZulu Natal —

Kokstad and Dundee. In 2002, Zambian Irritech Ltd was

launched in Lusaka, marking the company’s expansion

beyond South African borders. In 2025, Irritech further

extended its regional presence in East Africa by opening

Irritech Tanzania Ltd.

Irritech is an irrigation solutions provider, comprising a

formidable Irriteam. The design and sales teams are able to

select and design all types of irrigation, including, but not

limited to, drip, micro, and centre pivot. Irritech is the Valley

centre pivot dealer for the KwaZulu-Natal province as well as

Zambia, Tanzania, and the DRC. The Irriteam conducts

irrigation design surveys and steel fabrication, as well as

attending to logistics, administration, and spares sales.

Irritech is continually evolving to stay current with the latest

technical innovations. Accurate land surveys and pegging are

performed with high-tech equipment such as Trimble Global

Positioning Systems and DJI Drones for pinpoint accuracy, as

well as specialised design software. Water quantities, soil

types, application rates, and power supply are all considered in

carefully thought-out designs.

Depending on the project scale and client needs, Irritech

tailors each contract to partner with the client, providing case

design, expertise, and commissioning to complement the

client’s own labour and machines. We also provide turnkey

options, making as much use of local labour as possible.

Irritech has vast experience working across the continent,

providing world-class systems that survive in the harsh

conditions of Africa. Many of our engineers are experienced

and passionate aviators, giving our teams great mobility and

speed of execution.

Projects start with the in-house manufacture of pump

assemblies, floating pump stations, pipework, and in-field

fittings. The scheme is assembled in-house as far as possible,

and a mock-up is constructed before the system is delivered

for final assembly onsite.

For large corporate projects throughout Africa, we have a

dedicated corporate team comprising of engineers, project

administrators, and designers. Site managers set up

comprehensive site camps, with temporary housing, power,

and secure stores. Irritech is fully compliant with local

employment and trade requirements and is able to handle

the moving of machinery across borders with the necessary

permits and insurance. Co-ordinated materials export and

project management ensure timeous delivery and

installation. Upon completion of these projects, we provide

comprehensive handover and operations manuals.

Across all our offices, our Irriteam is efficient and motivated,

with all the equipment and resources required to design,

install, service, and repair drip, sprinkler, pod, micro, pivot, and

bulk water systems anywhere in Africa. With the combined

experience of over 100 years in irrigation, we offer a
