Pivot Installation – Tanzania

On the 23rd September, 2 Trucks arrived in convoy on site in Tanzania – it is always a great feeling to see trucks arriving on site after seeing them packed in the workshop. It was wonderful to share this moment with our client Farm for the Future as they shared their drone footage online – check it out on their Instagram
Our client Farm for the Future focus is to increase the productivity of farming in Tanzania and improve food security and nutrition as a way of helping to reduce rural poverty, Farm For the Future is running a 250 hectare farm of maize seed (https://ffftanzania.com/)
Our Zambia Irriteam of 3, Innocent, James and Evans timed their 1500km journey from Lusaka just right, and joined Will, Salum and Eliwaha on-site to unpack the trucks the day they arrived. We were ready to go.
From Day 1, the guys were flying! We had an incredible support on site from our client and our team excelled. The Irriteam really knows how to do it. In just a little over 2 weeks, we had laid 12.47 km of pipeline which will supply a complete pump station and we had a complete towable pivot, fully commissioned and walking, putting water down. Our Irriteam had completed their magic. We look forward to seeing the progress in the fields at FFF over the coming months with their first pivot #SprayingItBlue
