The festival is host to scholars for the first two weeks and in the third week opens up to the public, which brings in people from all over the world. During this festival, they host various workshops on educating the volunteers about being more “green”.
This involves permaculture, bee keeping, upcycling and much more. Penny van Vreden attended the event this year and got her hands dirty helping to plant some trees in the citrus orchard at the Sons of Thunder Mission.
This is the 6th year running of the festival and it was great to see the involvement in the local community as well as the growth of the trees from the ones planted to in the first year to now.
